"ROBOTS WILL BE THE NEXT SMARTPHONES"
If you were going on a trip and could only bring one thing with you - what would you bring? In this mobile era, a smartphone may be the perfect all-in-one tool for your survival, from finding help in the city, hunting down your closest caffeine fix, or just from plain boredom.

But the evolution of the smartphone has come to a standstill, says Tomotaka Takahashi, founder of Robo-Garage and creator of RoBoHoN - the world's only robot phone you never knew you needed.

Tomotaka Takahashi, University of Tokyo's chief robot scientist and inventor, shares his compelling vision of the Smart Companion Generation - the symbiotic relationship between robots, smartphones and modern daily life.

最初的机器人就像是一个玩具，人们没有太多的预期。但是现在我们看到，这些机器人不仅仅是玩具，他也可以我们生活中的智能工具。
 
    未来的机器人应该是这样子的：人和机器人相互沟通，它会了解到人的生活方式，去完成生活中的一些常见功能。
 
    高桥智隆表示，现实生活中，已经有了这样的机器人了，也就是智能手机，我们可以利用智能手机做同样的事情。但我们希望可以和宠物沟通，可以和玩具熊沟通，但是我们不希望和这样一个工具箱沟通。因此，即使有了智能手机，我们还是需要机器人。
